The Other Pop-Up Zine - Video and Purchase Link
After putting together a few batches of these zines I'm in awe of the amount of work I created for myself 😅, it really made me doubt my creative choices. I considered several ways to optimize the process but at the end there is no avoiding a good amount of delicate manual labor.
I think this particular zine was also a bit harder to put together than Opossum and Magpie. I was so proud about that spread with the Cairo tiling because I thought the machine would do most of the work, but by making the delicate filigree I made folding and assembly much harder. I compressed the 80 minutes that it took me to print, cut and assemble one in the 12 minute video above, I hope it's fun to watch (here is the YouTube version for easy sharing).
It's a cool object though, I'm happy to have designed it even if there will not be many copies out there in the world.
