Free form pop-up zine, part 4

Hi folks! I hope your year is up to a good start. This is the first update of 2023 for me, and once again I made it into a short video showing the different iterations that led me to the final design. If you can't watch it or share it on Patreon I also posted on youTube.
I didn't have any characters in mind when I started this project, but I found this orange wolf from the previous spread rather charming so I decided to make it the protagonist of this month's spread as well

I tried a couple of new things with this spread. First, I used a background pattern, I made it digitally but then I colored it by hand to give it that wonky hand-done look I like. This pattern in particular comes from Japanese decorative stitching (Sashiko).
And second, I used the cutting machine to add some decorative elements. That is, I cut out the same pattern on the mirror frame. So far I've only used the paper as a canvas on which the graphic elements are printed, but since I'm cutting these things with a machine I figured I'd try some purely decorative cuts that otherwise would be really hard to make by hand.
Thank you for following along!
Federico :)
