27/100 - Expectation

I'm already feeling regret about that mustache on yesterday's turtle. What was I thinking? Such a silly face, it barely makes any sense. I'm not going to beat myself about it as that is one of the goals of a doing a daily drawing, to put stuff out there that you wouldn't do otherwise. It's more about  flow than minutiae. It is about the way flow removes choice. And I'm generally happy with removing choices when doing creative stuff, I've found that I do the most interesting things when working under constraints and with limited resources.
Today's character is waiting for something to come out of a dark pit. Yet another metaphor for this creative endeavour. I find it to be a joyful kind of expectation most of the time. Like when I'm sitting there in front of the blank page, pencil in hand, I'm is sure that something will come out eventually, even if it's a turtle with a silly mustache.
Expectation today comes on  a 3.75" by 2.75" piece of plywood. Available here(sold).
