Movable zine, part 9
Sometimes it's cool to watch the meandering path of a project from idea to execution. I feel like it's generally difficult to show all of the dead ends and ideas that don't make it to the final while keeping things interesting, but with the current spread I felt there was a clear progression.
In the short video above (3 minutes) I put all the prototypes in the order I made them in a quick cut, and then I added some commentary to show you the dead ends and the way I solved some of the problems I encountered. I hope it's interesting.
Somewhat related (because there are also paper linkages involved), I posted the final video on the paper linkage series I mentioned last time. For that one I made a paper version of the linkage at the heart of Theo Jansen's walking machines:
