81/100 - Flower gruk

I just read about a Danish engineer by the name of Piet Hein who wrote a lot of short verse aphorisms in the 1940's. He called them 'grooks' , or 'gruk' in Danish which is a lovely word. There are many serious ones but a lot of them sound to me like they would fit perfectly in a Dr. Seuss book, so they are kind of silly and not as intimidating as haikus.
This is one of my favorites:
CONSOLATION GROOK
Losing one glove
is certainly painful,
but nothing
compared to the pain,
of losing one,
throwing away the other,
and finding
the first one again.
— Piet Hein
I tried writing a couple and I'm going to go against my better judgement and embarrass myself by showing you one, knowing quite well this isn't the reason you choose to generously support me with your hard earned cash.
On drawing flowers
If I could dream like flowers do
In ultraviolet patterns I would dream
I would be a song for insects
And a sight for humans too.
The flower that inspired this grook is 3" by 4". Available here(sold).
I'll see myself out now.
