8/100 - One eyed

It's hard to escape Norse mythology when you are a metalhead. Norse myths appear everywhere in metal music, there are even entire genres dedicated to Norse imagery. I won't bore you with a long list of my favorite songs but send me a message or leave a comment if you are interested.
Today's drawing was inspired by Odin who is usually depicted as a wanderer with a staff and a brimmed hat. I felt like drawing something emerging from the waters so I could have a bigger block of black in the composition, and the one eyed god seemed to fit. I took some liberties with the head piece, I don't think it's particularly viking, but I was more interested in the sense of an old entity peeking out of a black pool.
I think these pieces look good together, I'll be posting a group photo soon.
