71/100 - A message from the hand

Only recently did I found out that Yin and Yang represented the shady side of a hill and the sunny side of a hill respectively. Which is a more subtle way of thinking about it than in terms of good and bad. This was a lucky realization because I had been drawing these stylized triangular mountains to signify the mountains of the landscape where I grew up that I mentioned on day 47, but as an accidental bonus I got to connect with the nature based origins of the Taoist symbolism. I'm certainly not a devotee of the taoist philosophy or religion but I can appreciate a metaphor that's possible to experience in the landscape.

This talkative hand lives on a 3.5" by 3" rectangle. Available here(sold).
