7/100 - Sphynx
This one is pretty similar to yesterday's drawing, the difference is that I wanted to have the character open its arms and reveal what's behind. Apparently it's a portal to another space and in the process the fish sleeves and arms turned into paws. I don't know, maybe this character was a sphynx all along.
Sometimes I find it strange that I'm attracted these myth and magic themes while considering myself a fairly skeptical person. It really caught with me some years ago with this blog post someone wrote about my work titled Doodling the Mystical. I mean, I was certainly flattered but mystical wasn't what I was going for, at least intentionally. I guess I'm not really fighting it too much.
