6/100 - Armor
This character is wearing a lot of protection. Probably in the form or armor or an elaborate suit. I don't really know what's the story with the fish arms (yet). The idea came from a collaborative zine I've been working on with an artist I like very much. His name is Theo Ellsworth and he lives in Missoula, Montana. We met at one of his art shows in Los Angeles. I really like his comics and zines because his stories are super weird and surreal and his drawings are full of pattern.
For our collaboration we folded some letter sized pieces of nice paper in half, stapled them, and have been mailing them back and forth as we add to each other's drawings. Here is page 13 where the above character came from:
Strangely enough this is a true Patreon exclusive as we haven't posted any of these images elsewhere. Hopefully it will turn into an actual printed zine sometime soon.
Today's piece looks a bit bigger on the screen than when I look at it on my hand at 2.5" by 3". Shareable purchase link here (sold).
