In this imaginary universe Birds have built a pool to contain sadness. It's hard to look into its depths, there is a risk of falling into it, but there is a bigger risk in not looking. In this imaginary universe, those Birds who refuse to look into the pool for fear of drowning forget to sing, and their own sadness turns to anger.
All Bird attempts to build a pool to contain anger have failed.
