19/100 - Dreaming owl

You won't be surprised to read that growing up as an only child I spent a lot of time looking at things. I vividly remember a formica table we had in our small 5th floor apartment that had a cloudy swirl pattern on it, like a beige-orange marble effect. I saw tons of faces, ghosts, nebulas, twisted bodies. Along with spinning around until I felt dizzy and pressing my eyelids to see phosphenes, looking at interesting surfaces was my form of childhood psychedelia.
It's unclear who said that thing about every child being an artist but these memories is what the quote brings up for me. There was such a wealth of weird sounds, weird images and weird sensations to be had. I don't think they were all good, not such nostalgia for me, but I do miss that sort of daydreaming sometimes.
I think this anthropomorphized owl is in that kind of reverie. Holding onto himself while experiencing something in his mind. I was tempted to call him "cosmic owl" like the Adventure Time character (I love Adventure time) but I don't do a lot of fan art and there is no shortage of fantastic owls in the dreaming world.
This one is 2.75" x 3.5" and can be purchased here(sold).
