17/100 - Under the star

This is the smallest one I've done. It feels tiny in my hand but I'm trying to pack into it a big feeling of serenity. I twisted the usual image of the house that signifies shelter and protection but they idea is still there.

Looking at the image on the screen makes me think I should have turned that star entirely into a full moon. I felt the white circle was turning a bit too blobby with the paint I used and almost discarded this piece today (I know, after all that talk of spontaneity yesterday I also succumb to perfectionism sometimes), but I carried on and decided to live with it and I'm glad I did. The blobby texture resembles the moon's craters so I'll probably adopt that idea for  a future version. Or maybe I'll keep it around as a reminder that there are truly happy accidents.

Sleepy creature under the star/moon is 2" by 2.5", and it can become your happy accident here(update:sold).
